82nd Ave. of Roses Traffic Safety Open Houses

crashes for an arterial street in Portland. Please join the Office of
Transportation (PDOT) and Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for
three 82nd Avenue of Roses Open Houses to review the solutions to
improve transportation safety along 82nd. PDOT has development of a
Transportation Safety Action Plan for the 82nd Avenue of Roses. The
proposed improvements will allow the corridor to continue to serve
vehicles, transit and pedestrians while utilizing traffic safety tools
to reduce injuries and fatalities for all modes of transportation.

Lg==" \nIn 2007 and 2008, the Center partnered with Oregon Action and
Latino Network to develop a yearlong Diversity and Civic Leadership
Academy for immigrants, refugees and people of color. After diligent
selection process, fifteen immigrant and refugee leaders gathered for
their first convening in July. The training was held on a beautiful
Sauvie Island Retreat Center and was opened by Jeri Williams from Office
of Neighborhood Involvement and Colin McCormack from the Diversity and
Civic Leadership Committee who led the vision and foundation of the
academy. The project aims to develop leadership within and between
diverse immigrant and refugee communities through training and support,
promoting political education skills and capacities, developing a shared
analysis, and conducting research on the trends and needs of
immigrant/refugee groups.

range plan to guide future transportation investments in the Portland
