Please see below if you¹re interested in being part of getting the fountain
going next year. I hope that it will be on many days a week.

Dear Steve,
Thank you for the information and your prompt response. I would be happy to
do it next year, so please do keep me posted. Thanks, Melissa

I am so sorry Melissa but I can not help you this year, it is just too late
in the season. If however you'd consider volunteering next summer I think
I will be able to help. To operate a wading pool we ask:
* Plan to operate at least eight times between July 5 and first day of
school.
* Operate on a set schedule at least one day a week.
* Operate a minimum of 4 hours per session
* Adult volunteer on location whenever in operation
* And finally, volunteers complete a volunteer application and attend a
one hour training session.
This year most of our volunteer locations opened twice a week and seemed to
have four volunteers. One would open the pool and another would close, that
way everybody worked 2 hrs a week.
If you are interested next year I hope you will contact me around May so I
can get you set up. I will keep your email too and hopefully remember to
contact you next year. My only concern is that we won't be allowed to open
any wading pools next year. The state health department is considering
closing them down unless they are fitted with automatic chlorination
devices. I do not think that is likely until 2008 or 09 but we do not know
at this time.
Thank you for contacting me and please accept my apologies for not being
able to take advantage of your offer. I am afraid there just isn't enough
time.
Sincerely,
Steve Pixley
