The meeting was called to order at 7:35  p.m.

Several neighbors attended to apply for 2 to 4 vacant positions on the 
newly expanded land use committee. Each was invited to give a one minute 
talk on why they should be appointed by the board to the vacant positions.

Motion:

	"Expand the number of slots on the land use committee to match the number 
of people who are applying with the exception of Patrick, who will be 
absent until January"

Seconded by Roger Price
Vote: Unanimous approval

Treasurer's Report:
Beginning balance:	$6,166.62
Less checks:		$1,743.40
Deposits:		$   905.00
Ending Balance:	$5,328.22

Treasure's report was approved.

Minutes for the July  2004 board meeting were approved with changes

Motion to submit proposed bylaw amendment to the next general meeting:

	Add Article 3, section 1E, to be worded identically to section 1D, 
substituting the word "committee" for the word "board"

Seconded by Ted Perkins
Vote: Unanimous approval

It was announced that CNN is holding two training sessions:
	Sept 29: Newsletter training (required in order to get money for newsletter.)
	Sept 30: Board member training

Dave Whitaker made a  motion:

	Allocate $20 for land use meeting refreshemts, in lieu of rent, at Jave Man.

Vote: Unanimous approval

Dave Whitaker said he had discussed striping on streets intersecting 
Fremont, with local planner, Debbie Bishoff.

Members added at this board meeting: Alice Dobson, Dennis Lisk, Bill 
Barrett, Basia Del-awska-Elliott, Janet Baker, Tracey Johnson. Further 
someone from the Beaumont Business Association will attend meetings as an 
observer.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
